The throat chakra, or Vishuddha in Sanskrit, is the fifth primary chakra according to the Hindu tradition of tantra. It is positioned at the throat region, near the spine, with its superficial activation point in the pit of the throat. The throat chakra plays an essential role in communication, creativity, and self-expression. When there’s an imbalance in this chakra, you may have a harder time communicating effectively, feel fearful about speaking your personal truth, and feel anxious about speaking or communicating. You may also notice symptoms like a raspy throat, chronic sore throat, mouth ulcers, gum disease, laryngitis, and thyroid problems.

There are several ways to unblock throat chakra. Neck stretches can relax your throat and ease tension at your neck, preparing your throat chakra to open up. Freewriting allows you to examine your thoughts and put them into words. Reiki and yoga sessions would also help to unblock your throat chakra. Moreover, this music can activate your throat chakra, improve your communication skills, and reduce throat and mouth problems.
